Dance Team

Welcome to Chaska Hawks Dance Team!

We are a competitive Dance Team program consisting of Varsity and JV teams. We compete in both High Kick & Jazz.  Please note that Dance Team tryouts take place at the start of the season this year per the MSHSL. 

Our season will officially begin on Monday, October 26, 2026. Students must meet both Eastern Carver County School District and Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) eligibility requirements. All student-athletes interested in participating in Dance Team must be completely registered with the Chaska High School Athletics Department prior to any participation.

Chaska Dance Team Clinic
This clinic is designed for experienced dance team dancers who want to keep pushing their growth and performance level. Dancers will continue building technique, strength, flexibility, choreography, and advanced skills in a focused, motivating environment. It’s the perfect way to stay sharp, gain confidence, and feel fully prepared heading into fall tryouts.
Intro to High School Dance Team 
This dance team clinic is designed especially for dancers who are new to Dance Team and interested in trying out for the Chaska Hawks Dance Team. Dancers will work on technique, flexibility, strength, skills, choreography, and musicality in a supportive, high-energy environment. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn, improve, and experience what dance team is all about while having fun and making new friends.

DANCE TEAM OPEN HOUSE: Tuesday, April 14th Chaska High School Commons 5:30PM-7:30PM

CAPTAINS OPEN GYM: Captains are hosting free "open gyms" for dancers to come experience the team and dance!
April 17th 4:30PM-6:30PM - CMSW Gym
May 8th 3:30PM-5:30PM - CHS Aux Gym
May 22nd 4:30PM-6:30PM - CHS Aux Gym

PRACTICE TIMES:
M-F from 4PM-6:30PM in the CHS Aux Gym or CMSW gym depending on team. Saturday times vary.
